Great quality ski slope and nice cafe! Very steep though so maybe not the best for a casual ski if you’re not very confident. Staff are friendly and helpful. Very limited car parking currently with the building development.

We attended for the alpine coaster only, it was great fun, wonderful to be carried up on the coaster as well as whizzing down it! Basic but did what ur said on the tin!

The centre itself is a bit run down but has had a new lease of life with the opening of the alpine descent ride. Cafes good value for money so don't hesitate to have breakfast or lunch on a snack there.

The Midlothian Snowsports Centre at Hillend is a brilliant day out for all ages! There’s plenty of parking, and the one-way system makes getting in and out hassle-free. Toilets near ticket office The toboggan ride is a real highlight — fast, fun, and perfect for thrill-seekers. On top of that, the spectacular views across the Pentland Hills make the whole experience even more memorable. Whether you’re there for skiing, snowboarding, or just the toboggans, it’s a fantastic spot with something for everyone.

I took 3 private lessons with Craig (who calls himself old Craig) in advance of a ski holiday with my wife’s family. He was absolutely outstanding! So much experience and he made me feel confident, encouraged and supported. I could not think of a better teacher or a better introduction to skiing - he really made me feel so excited to ski and I can’t thank him enough for his patience and expertise! Very grateful for this experience!

Booked some lessons. First time on a dry slope for me and the difference in comparison to the actual snow is massive. The idea is superb though considering we don’t get much snow in Scotland.
